Today we got up early again so we could be ready at 8 AM for our tour. Tenerife is the largest of the canary Islands at almost 800 sq. miles. We went to Mt Teide which is about 12,200 feet high and we were above the clouds we were so high up. The roads going up were so narrow if the buses had an extra coat of paint one of them would've gone over the cliff as we were passing one another. It was really frightening. There were also volcano eruptions on this island too so there is lots of lava fields here. Our guide kept on telling us the next eruption is scheduled for tomorrow after we leave.
From there we went to a place called Rocks of Garcia and what a photo op that was. From there we went to the resort part of the island to a town called Puerto de la Cruz with lots of hotels, beautiful beaches, tourist traps, restaurants, car rentals, normal vacation stuff where we had an hour and a half to wander the streets and do whatever we wanted. All in all it was another very nice day. We got back to the ship at 3:30.
Met Sue and Steve for our pre dinner drinks after showing our camel picture to Bianca and half of guest services and then went to dinner and showed everyone at the table and they also got a kick out of it.
The show tonight was Jeff Stevenson, a comedian, but i had taken so many benedryl for my itching that I was falling asleep so I can't say if he was good or not.
