We got up this morning to rough seas again and high winds but troupers that we are we got dressed and went to the solarium and had breakfast at the AquaSpa there. At 10 AM the Captain made an announcement that we were having 50-60 mile an hour winds and 12-15 foot swells and they would continue until about 2 PM. It came as no surprise to us as we were watching the water slosh in and out of the pool. It was so bad I saw someone who was in the pool but near the side, wind up sitting on the side when the water went out and took him with it.
We went to the dining room for lunch instead of the buffet because we didn't want to carry our own plates taking the safe way out. The dining room menu for lunch is extremely Unimpressive. I can say I'll starve before I go there again at lunchtime. Not a bad idea. That's one way to lose weight.
At 3 we met Mornay (the store manager we became friendly with) for coffee and sat around and chatted for an hour and found out a lot about him. We told him whwn he's in Ft Lauderdale in February he should contact us and we'll get together. He said he's looking forward to it; now we'll see if he's all hot air.
Went to the Sky Lounge again at 4:30 for drinks and relaxation (even on sea days we seem to be busy) and then dinner where we surprised Jules with key lime pie and it was delicious. Branco (our asst. maitre de) has developed a personality over the last 3 days and we're trying to figure out if it's because it's almost tip time or because he knows we have an in with Lorenzo (his big boss).
Our tablemate Ivy (she is such a lively person) was going to be in a dance contest so we raced through dinner and because of the weather (the ship is rocking so badly it is hard to walk---forget about a straight line) was postponed until tomorrow night. Everyone looks drunk. Probably only drunks are walking straight. You have to hold on to the walls in order to get anywhere but it's just another experience.
I still haven't figured out how to download pictures so be patient until we can get this worked out. Tomorrow we go to Naples and we're taking an Amalfi Coast tour and by now you must know that it will probably rain or maybe there will be a landslide or a windstorm or a tornado or even a rockslide or martians landing.
